Thanks to the construction of the blade and the shaft, the knife is optimal to be able to work safely and efficiently in different work environments throughout the year. The polymer sheath for knives is equipped with the Morakniv smart button system, which allows you to attach several craft knives for different purposes to each other. It also has a handy belt clip for easy attachment to the belt. Carbon steel will rust, clean and lubricate the blade after use.

This year's color is inspired by the brilliant yellow Zorngården located in the heart of Mora, as well as our beautiful Dala Red, which for decades has given character to Morakniv knives.

Zorngården was once the home of the artist Anders Zorn and his wife Emma Zorn in Mora. The building was designed by the artist himself and completed in 1910. The architecture and colors differed significantly from the rest of the urban landscape as he was inspired by the architecture and constructions of other countries during his years abroad.

From Zorn's artist's house to the well-known color red, the step is nothing more than a brushstroke on a palette. The color that is so strongly associated with Mora, Dalarna and Sweden has had a special role in the history of knives since 1912. That is, it was then that knives made in Mora began to paint their handles in the characteristic red colour.

A series of its own

In recent years, our most classic artisan knives have had their own line. Every year since 2016 we have produced our most used classic, Basic 511 (C) in a new and unique color combination. Since 2018, the Basic 546 (S) has also been produced in this year's colour, of course matching the sister knife. Over the years, knife colors have added an extra touch to the workday for home crafters and professionals alike.
